Still Waters Retreat – Terms & Conditions

Dates: 11–13 October 2025

Location: St. Brelade’s Bay Hotel, Jersey, Channel Islands

We’re so looking forward to welcoming you to the Still Waters Retreat—a time to rest, restore, and reconnect. Please read the following Terms & Conditions carefully. They outline important information and responsibilities for both you and us as organisers.

1. Our Role

Still Waters Retreat is hosted and facilitated by a private organiser. We aim to create a peaceful and uplifting experience through curated sessions and optional activities. Please note that we are not a travel company, accommodation provider, or adventure activity company. We act solely as organisers of the retreat experience.

2. Accommodation & Catering

All accommodation and meals are provided by St. Brelade’s Bay Hotel. By booking onto the retreat, you agree to be bound by the hotel’s own terms and conditions regarding your stay.

Please note:

• Any concerns or complaints relating to accommodation, room facilities, or catering should be directed to the hotel staff.

• The Still Waters organisers aim to work with excellent providers but are not responsible for the quality, safety, or availability of accommodation or meals.

3. Activities & Participation

Optional activities during the retreat may include gentle Pilates sessions, nature walks, and paddle boarding. Some of these are facilitated by third-party providers.

Important notes:

• Participation in any activity is entirely voluntary and at your own risk.

• Paddle boarding and any other water-based activities are provided by an external company; any safety or liability issues lie with them.

• We strongly encourage participants to act responsibly, follow all safety instructions, and ensure they have adequate health and activity insurance cover.

4. Travel & Transfers

• Travel to and from Jersey is the responsibility of each participant. This includes arranging your own flights or ferry crossings.

• We recommend that all participants have appropriate travel insurance to cover cancellations, delays, or other disruptions.

• Still Waters will provide transfers between Jersey Airport and the hotel on the retreat arrival and departure dates. You will be contacted to confirm your flight details in advance.

5. Health & Medical Responsibility

By booking a place, you confirm that you are in suitable health to participate in the retreat and any optional activities.

You are responsible for:

• Disclosing any relevant medical or mobility conditions ahead of time.

• Bringing any medications or support items you may need.

• Managing your own health and well-being throughout the retreat.

Still Waters does not provide medical supervision and is not liable for any health-related incidents that may arise during the retreat.

6. Cancellations & Refunds

We understand that plans can change, but due to venue and planning commitments, our cancellation policy is as follows:

Full refund for cancellations made 90 days or more before the retreat start date (i.e., by 13 July 2025).

No refunds for cancellations made after 13 July 2025, unless your place can be filled by someone else.

We recommend purchasing travel insurance that includes cancellation cover for your peace of mind.

7. Conduct & Respect

The retreat is designed to be a restful, respectful space. We ask all guests to treat others—participants, staff, and facilitators—with kindness and consideration.

We reserve the right to ask any participant to leave the retreat (without refund) if their behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, or violates the peaceful environment we are creating.

8. Photography & Media

Photos and videos may be taken during the retreat for use in future Still Waters communications and marketing.

By attending, you agree to be included in such images, unless you notify us in writing before or during the retreat. Your privacy and comfort will always be respected.

9. Liability Waiver

By booking and attending the Still Waters Retreat, you acknowledge and agree that:

• You participate in all activities voluntarily and at your own risk.

• You release Still Waters from any liability for personal injury, illness, loss, or damage incurred during the retreat, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.

• Responsibility for accommodation, catering, and third-party activities rests with the providers of those services.

We hope these terms provide clarity and peace of mind. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at any time.

With warmth and anticipation,

The Still Waters Team
